Studio Desk
This project came about as we found a new temporary space for the studio. Only one of the walls of the loft had windows. Thankfully, the windows ran the whole span of the wall.
The idea for the table was to create an oversized working and storage area without making the space feel smaller.

Also, the space lacked character, having high ceilings but boring white gypsum walls.
The wood was found from an old barn that was practically giving it away. It is over 100 years old. The frame was a door frame discovered a few blocks from the loft. The legs were slightly tainted white to blend to have less of a contrast.

Coffee Table- process
This coffee table was made entirely from recycled wood. The sides are reused wine crates.

The structure is made from different types of wood. It was designed to be uniquely supported vertically- with no lateral supports.
Upcycled Shelf
The shelves were an experiment on two fronts; design and structure.
The two back supporting wood planks were of different sizes and weight, so they were balanced accordingly for postioning to properly hold the 3 shelves.
Upcycled shelves
The finish of the shelves was a composition; old newspaper phrases and photos, spray painted red in to place and then varnished. This shelve turned out surprising stable.
